日内瓦宣言，又称医生誓言，或者希波克拉底誓言。西方医生在开始行医时宣读的一份有关医务道德的誓词。它的主要内容，取自古希腊一位医师的誓言。这位医师名叫希波克拉底，在西方被人们尊为“医学之父”。1948年，世界医协大会对这个誓言加以修改，定名为《日内瓦宣言》。至今已经更新了第7个版本，即2017年版。

我第一次认识这个誓言的时候，是来自美剧《实习医生格蕾》第六季第十五集，剧集拍摄是采用的是第六个版本，即2006版。在大学期间，参加过口语比赛，也是通过这个誓言的演绎，获得了还不错的名次，当时还没有具体研究过，只知道它叫医生誓言。直到最近兴趣来了，查阅了相关资料，才知道叫日内瓦宣言。

医生誓言
The Physician’s Pledge

作为医疗行业的一员。
AS A MEMBER OF THE MEDICAL PROFESSION:

我庄严宣誓将我的生命奉献给人类。
I SOLEMNLY PLEDGE to dedicate my life to the service of humanity;

病人的额健康和福祉是我的第一考虑。
THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF MY PATIENT will be my first consideration;

我将尊重我的病人的自主权和尊严。
I WILL RESPECT the autonomy and dignity of my patient;

我将保持对人类生命的最大尊重。
I WILL MAINTAIN the utmost respect for human life;

我不允许年龄、疾病或残疾、信仰、民族血统、性别、国籍、政治立场、种族、性取向、社会地位或其它因素影响我的职责和病人之间的关系。
I WILL NOT PERMIT considerations of age, disease or disability, creed, ethnic origin, gender, nationality, political affiliation, race, sexual orientation, social standing or any other factor to intervene between my duty and my patient;

我将尊重病人向我倾诉的秘密，即使在病人去世后。
I WILL RESPECT the secrets that are confided in me, even after the patient has died;

我将本着良知和尊严，按照良好的医疗实践，从事我的职业。
I WILL PRACTISE my profession with conscience and dignity and in accordance with good medical practice;
